On the soles of their feet, and all over their body, red pandas have soft dense fur. Red pandas need fur on the soles of their feet because they are walking in snow all the time. You think they would know that.
The diet of red pandas is bamboo as well as bird eggs, berries, and blossoms. Red pandas give birth to one to four young in about 134 days. Num…yummy !
Red pandas are endangered because of loss of habitat. There are less then 2,500 when there used to be many more. Look cute, look cute, look cute.
The pandas are losing bamboo forests because people are cutting down bamboo to make room for farmland, houses, factories, and more. Help me! Please!
What can we do? Recycle paper, plastics, glasses etc. to help the environment. Donate to wildlife preserves. Don’t waste energy.
More cool facts about red pandas We may resemble raccoons, but we are in the panda family. We use our long tails to balance when we are in trees. Also, we cover ourselves with our tail in winter.
Even more cool facts about red pandas We are about 42 inches long including our tail. We also have a bony ‘thumb’ on our wrists that help us grip things. We weigh between seven and fourteen pounds.
