7 th Grade Social Studies Mr. Howard Topic: World History

Why is this number important? 175

What is our purpose???? In 7 th grade, our primary purpose is to learn about different cultures throughout the world. We will focus on the history of cultures that existed many years ago (“World History”). We will also learn about government, economics, and geography.

General Expectations 1. You will attempt to LEARN about social studies. 2. You will give GOOD EFFORT. 3. You will complete activities and assignments. 4. You will BEHAVE appropriately. 5. You will RESPECT others. 6. You will BE PREPARED.

How Will I Be Successful? You will be successful if you choose to be. This means that you must be responsible and make good choices. For example, if you don’t study for a test, it is likely that you will not do well. Another example concerns behavior. If you have good behavior, it is because you make that choice. If it’s not good, you made that choice instead. You are in control of your actions. As a 7 th grader, you can make good choices!
