Advancing Government through Collaboration, Education and Action 3 INDUSTRY ADVISORY COUNCIL Established by ACT in 1989 to provide a vendor-neutral forum for obtaining industry advice Mission: “bring industry and government executives together to exchange information, support professional development, improve communications and understanding, solve issues and build partnership and trust, thereby enhancing government’s ability to serve the nation’s citizenry” Purposes: –Provide a forum for studies and analysis of public sector management issues –Advise ACT and the appropriate government officials on industry trends and other issues –Assist ACT and the government by identifying expert speakers –Provide education and training
