VERBALS

 Definition: A form of a verb that is used as a noun, adjective, or adverb. A verbal is NOT the verb for the subject. If the verbal acts as a noun, it may be the subject.  For Example: 1. She soaked her tired feet in the cool water. 2. Swimming is a lot of fun. 3. Alex contemplates ways to improve his writing.
