Energy: Machines, Motion and Light Energy exists in many different states. Energy can be transformed from one state to another in order to power machines.

Light Waves Light waves can be converted into electrical energy with the use of solar panels. Solar panels harness the electrical energy in light and convert it into mechanical energy. This car is powered by light energy collected with solar panels.

Motion Energy Windmills can harness the power of wind energy and convert it into electrical energy that can be used to provide power to homes.

Kinetic Energy Energy that is stored in the battery of the car as potential energy can be converted into kinetic energy and do work by powering the car to its destination.
