Play – (usually) team sports - the sport is a noun ( 명사 ) - the person who plays the sport is a … player basketball hockey volleyball soccer darts golf (British) football tennis cards (go-stop) baseball badminton rugby billiards / pool ( 당구 ) cricket polo

play 현재 – I play soccer. 과거 – Last weekend, I played volleyball. 미래 – I’ll play baseball this weekend. 완료 – I have played badminton. Do you play tennis? How long have you played tennis? How long have you been playing tennis? She’s a hockey player. He’s a baseball player.

Go – (usually) sports you do alone - the sport is a verb ( 동사 ) - the person who does the sport is …+er - you can say – “GO SKIING” OR SKI ski / water ski swim shop skate hike bowl figure skate climb box inline skate run golf (American) roller skate jog hunt rollerblade dance fish

go 현재 – I swim. I go swimming. 과거 – I skied. I went skiing. 미래 – I’ll skate. I’ll go skating. 완료 – I have hiked. I have gone hiking. 김연아 is a figure skater. He’s a swimmer. John’s a boxer.
