The Superhero Fun Run is an exciting event supporting children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Last year 500 Irabina Superhero’s helped raise funds to support the work of Irabina Autism Services, and we invite YOU to be involved IN 2016! This year, join Irabina Autism Services Ambassador Tim Sharp – AKA Laser Beak Man, as we fight for Autism!

WHAT IS AUTISM? Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way in which an individual relates to their environment and their interaction with other people. The main areas of difficulties are in social communication, social interaction and restricted or repetitive behaviours and interests. Early diagnosis and targeted intervention can significantly assist in reducing the impact of a child’s Autism on their functioning. Current statistics indicate that 1 in 50 people sit somewhere on the Autism Spectrum.
