POPULATION Filip Avdić, 7.b

The world population is growing! Every day many people are born on our planet, but also, many people die. In the future there will be many more people, so they will need more food, houses, water and energy.

In some poor countries children don’t have enough food to survive and they die because of hunger. Many people also die because of some disease.

People spend too much money on things which they will throw away for about a week. We don’t think on poor people, people who don’t have enough food, clothes or they lost their families.

HOW CAN YOU HELP? You can give to some poor child clothes that is too small for you. If you see some hungry man on street, give him some bread or something else! Give someone if you have too much! Don’t buy things you will soon throw in garbage! You mustn’t give money to someone because he/she can spend it on drugs or alcohol!

YOU CAN HELP SOMEONE, BUT YOU CAN ALSO SAVE SOMEONE’S LIFE!

QUESTIONS 1) Do you know someone who has many brothers or sisters? 2) Have you got brother or sister and what do you think, is it good? Why? 3) Have you ever helped some poor person? 4) What do you think about life in poor countries? 5) Do you think it will be less food for people in 50 years and what can people do about it? 6) Do you think that people don’t share with others?
