First Day of School I had a great first day of Third Grade. I met my new teacher, Mrs. Lehman. I saw all of my friends from Fairwood. We set our classroom rules. I found out what we would be learning in this year.

Tops Grocery Store My trip to Tops Grocery Store was fun. First, we walked to the store. Next, we went and looked for food items for our balanced meal. We also checked our coupon item, compared prices of foods, and looked at the nutrition labels. After shopping we went on a tour of the store. We saw the deli counter, the big freezer storage for the store, and had a sample in the bakery. We learned a lot on our field trip.

Landforms We made landforms out of sand. We made plains, hills, a plateau, mountains, and a valley. Next we drew pictures of each landform in our flip book and wrote about how each one looked. Finally we labeled our pictures.

Western Reserve Historical Museum We went to the Western Reserve Historical Museum to learn about our history and ancestors. Some of our ancestors migrated from other states. Others may have immigrated from another country. We found out that a refugee is fleeing for their life from another country. All of these people came to Cleveland because it was the city of promise with lots of jobs.
