Be Prompt - I use my time wisely. - I focus on the things that matter.

Thick as a Brick

Rocks, Pebbles, and Sand

Make time for your big rocks! The rocks are the important things: The pebbles/sand are the other things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale:

Want a shocker? Take the average amount of time that you watch TV per day or play video games per day, e.g., two hours (below the national average). Do you realize that over a period of 60 years, you will spend the equivalent of 7 ½ years sitting in front of the TV every waking hour of the day?! Imagine what a person could accomplish in 7 ½ years!

What could you learn to do in 7 ½ years?

The lesson: It’s important to take care of the big things in life, like spend time with your family, friends, and help people when needed. It’s important to slow down to look at the people and circumstances around us. Otherwise, before we know it, our life will pass and we might realize that we paid attention to the wrong things.
