معاشرے کی تعمیر میں استاد کا کردار بہت اہم ہے۔ استاد سے زیادہ اور کوئی شخص افراد پر اثر انداز نہیں ہوتا. بچے استاد سے بہت زیادہ متاثر ہو تے ہیں ،استاد انکی زندگی پر بے پناہ اثر رکھتا ہے. استاد ان کو بنا بھی سکتا ہے اور بگاڑ بھی سکتا ہے. بچے استاد جیسا بننے کا خواب ہی نہیں دیکھتے اس جیسا بننے کی کوشش بھی کرتے ہیں.

During their early education, the students tend to determine their aims in life and their future plans, in consultation with their teachers. a good and visionary teacher can play a prominent role in making the future of his students while as a corrupt teacher can only harm his students much more seriously than a class of corrupt and perverted judiciary, army, police, bureaucracy, politicians or technocrats

A nation with incompetent teachers is a nation at risk; every coming day announces the advent of its approaching destruction

It does not matter much how did we get there where we are, if we realize where we are and what is required to stay there or get out of it. Similarly adopting teaching profession might not be ones own choice but if the teacher realizes importance of his profession and his infinite influence on the next generation, he can perform well.

If an individual remains struck in his own problems and never considers his duties, then he can not be a good member of a society. Change can only come if we break vicious cycle and do not pass on the ill effects which were transferred to us. Our environments have influence on us only once we let the circumstances prevail upon us. Human beings have infinite capacity to stand in front of odd. But this requires commitment and determination.

When we speak of good teachers it means:- That a teacher must be a model of faith and piety should have a fairly good knowledge. A teacher should consider it his duty to educate and train his students and should feel responsible for it. He should feel that his students have been entrusted to him and he should avoid any breach of the trust the society has reposed in him. He should be a sociable person with his roots in the society. People should take him as their well-wisher and a sincere friend who cares for their children. It should be ascertained at all cost that a candidate for this profession has a natural acumen and aptitude for teaching. He should actively participate in the social activities in a positive way.

When we speak of good teachers it means:- He should know the art of teaching with a deep insight into child psychology. He should always deal with the students in a just manner. He should not lose his self-control on mistakes his students may commit, and instead he should respect their feelings and ego, and should try to understand and resolve their difficulties with grace while keeping his cool. He should be able to smile in the face of bitter criticism on his opinions, and should not feel ashamed or humiliated to accept his mistakes wholeheartedly. He should be proud of his culture, his national dress and his national language. He should be a missionary, a mentor, a reformer and a guide besides being a dedicated tutor. In other words, he should be a perfect teacher and a perfect educationist.

In short teacher is the architect of a society. He is catalyst for change. Teacher can affect positive change in the society. Nation are build by those who sacrifice their present for tomorrow of their nation. To be able to discharge his duties in the befitting manner, teacher needs to educate, groom and train himself. He needs to learn and upgrade his knowledge on regular basis.

Being Muslims we know the importance of learning and teaching. Holy Prophet SAW said “strive to acquire knowledge from cradle to grave” He commanded every Muslim man and woman that acquiring knowledge is their basic duty. The Holy prophet SAW also said that he was sent to the humanity as teacher. Teaching is thus a very noble duty and we expect its reward in the hereafter as well.

The essence of the teacher as a nation builder cannot be over-emphasized. Good teachers need to be themselves constantly seeking knowledge, be of good character, have high motivation and be creative, innovative and effective in their teaching strategies. The good deeds of teachers are great; because of them, we will grow to become knowledgeable people who will be of use to society, religion and our nation and country.
