Ridgewood High School

Who are we? One of the largest clubs at RHS Passion for the environment Care about the issues Goals: To reduce, educate and sustain!

Simple adjustments Don’t leave the water running Take shorter showers Don’t stare at screens so much

And simpler… Love the world around you.

And simpler!

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS! Every Friday afterschool in room 393 Save energy! Loads of fun!

But there’s a deeper message as well…

Last year, our school paid $354, for electricity! RHS’s Electricity Bill Will we see a reduction this year? Last year’s total We knew something must be done.

THE CHARTS!!!!!!

Think about it What happens when you turn off the lights? What powers a light bulb? How much energy does it use up? How much do you think it costs?

What are the results? BeginningEnd Light bulb 1 Light bulb 2 Light bulb 3

Attention Students and Faculty: Please turn off the lights when you leave the classroom! Thanks!

Now it’s your turn! Your teacher will give you note cards for you to design your own “Turn Off the Lights” label. Be creative! Once you have created one, it’s your choice where you want to hang it up… At home- show it to your parents! At school- we might be able to get them laminated and put up in your favorite teacher’s classroom!
