ELEMENT OF THE DAY 21 – Scandium – Sc Scandium is expensive, but not because it is rare, but because it is not found in any concentrated amounts. Scandium is used in more expensive aluminum alloys to make the aluminum stronger (like expensive bike frames, baseball bats, etc). It is also used in lighting to create a more natural light in bulbs used for street lamps, warehouses, and mega stores.
