Basic requirements MATCo Basic requirements Military air traffic controller (MATCo): Age 21 y. old Medical certificate issued by ÚLZ Praha Exam from English minimum Bacelor´s degree ( different of ATCo, just leaving examination) – to get rank at military system. 1

FIRST STEP TO BE MATCo 2 If you are older than 21 years first time you need to be healthy. Where this informations you will find? Go to ÚLZ Prague – Medical authority for MATCo. Have you got certification? SUPER – we can continue…

SECOND STEP TO BE MATCo 3 DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?

MATCo ENGLISH 4 Your English should be over level 4 ICAO, obtain after supporting certificate language skills 2222 according with agreement North-Atlantic Organizationce STANAG Passed the exam. WELL DONE – WE CAN GO TO START WITH BASIC KNOWLADGES, NOW ….

Training MATCo 1)Basic training – BT Includes information about:1)Basic training – BT LAW(Aviation Law), ATM(Air Traffic Management), MET(Meteorology), NAV(Navigation), ACFT(Aircraft), HUM(Human Factors), EQPM(Equipment and Systems), PENV(Professional Environment), EMG(Unusual/Emergency Situations), DEG(Degraded Systems Capability, AGA(Aerodromes) IF you pass all exams you will continue with MATCSL to be MATCo. 5

Training MATCo 2)Pre-On job training – Pre-OJT 2)Pre-On job training – Pre-OJT training on simulator (CANI) 3)Transition training – TT3)Transition training – TT 4 weeks preparing MATCSL before OJT (MATCSL obtain skills and knowlidges of local specifications- reading,studying local regulations,excursion)with instructor. (TWR) 4) On job training – OJT4) On job training – OJT real controlling traffic by MATCSL under the instructor command. (TWR) IF you pass all exams you are MATCo NOW. 6

Now we need qualificatins 8 Where you can operate with MATCo licency? TWR – ADI/TWR APP – APS/RAD/TCL PAR – APS/RAD/TCL/PAR

Qualifications MATCo ADV – aerodrome visual control - air traffic controlling without air navigation aid. ADI – qualification for airfield controlling with approch and departure procedures with navigation aid. Should be with together min.1 endorsement. APP – procedural approch- air traffic licency for controling approch without surveillance radar. APS – vectoring departure and arrive with surveillance radar. Should be with together min.1 endorsement. IC – combat controller – air traffic controller safeguarding defence state. Should be with together min.1 endorsement. 9

ENDORSEMENT with qualifications ADI AIR – controlling flight in the vicinity airport and on the RWY GMC – controlling movements on the ground TWR – air traffic control - including AIR and GMC GMS - controlling AIR and GMC with movement ground system RAD – controlling TWR with surveillance radar 10

Endorsement with qualification APS and IC PAR – competency to make precision approach radar on phase final approach SRA – competency to make non-precision approach with surveilence radar to aircraft on final approach TCL – competency provide air traffic controlling of any kind surveilance system to aircraft on final sector. BQ – basic qualified LCR – limited combat ready CR – combat ready  with flights related safeguardance the State and training exercises on behalf the Czech Army and NATO 11
