Synopsis The overall theme for our thriller film is Vampires. The location for our film is the south of England, although the filming will be in Brighton. The main plot is about a vampire called ‘Fabian’ who lives off of animal blood. Until one day when he tastes human blood and can never go back. Fabian is walking his dogs with his wife Sandy. Everything is fine until they come across a dead body in the woods. After telling Sandy to go home with the dogs, Fabian overcome by the bloodlust he drinks from the body, this makes him go crazy wanting more and more blood. Putting everyone in danger, including himself.

Films that influenced us... Arlington Road. Arlington Road influenced us because of the way they introduce the first character in the film. The way they reveal the character bit by bit creates the sort of suspense that we want to create in ours. We also really like the way the blood drips down whilst the character is walking and is something we are going to try to re-create. Dracula. Dracula is obviously a main influence to our thriller film as its one of the most famous vampire stories, although ours is very different to this. Psycho. Psycho influenced us because of the original nature of a dramatic thriller film and how it creates suspense and thrills the audience.

Explanation of our opening title sequence... Our opening title sequence starts off with the production team logo and faded to black. We slowly introduce the character of Fabian, all of his clothes are covered in blood and he is walking like he is in a trance.

There are lots of flashbacks to a dead body covered in blood.

The audience see he is holding a picture of a bride, is it the dead body? There are more flashbacks of Fabian biting the dead body and finally his face is revealed and we find out he is a vampire.

Main characters In our opening title sequence you meet two characters. Fabian: He is a vampire who has been living the life of a normal(ish) human. Drinking nothing but animal blood when he drinks human blood for the first time all he wants is more and more. Sandy: Fabian’s wife is a human and is in risk of being bitten by Fabian. Unknown dead women:

Narrative Structure A Narrative Structure is the coherence given to a series of events or facts. It is the way a story is structured or told; and the way the story is related. For Fabian, we will be exercising the most common narrative structure used in most stories. This is where disruption of equilibrium has happened and caused a problem which the main character needs to solve to return to happiness. However, we will also add in examples of other narrative device such as flashbacks so that the whole story is not completely linear.

Shots In our opening title sequence we are going to use a range of shots. The first shot of Fabian’s feet is a close up and it is out of focus (blurry) to create a mysterious unknown effect. The next shot is a mid shot. This is a flashback of Fabian and his wife walking hand in hand with there dogs. After that we go back to Fabian and a close up of his hand, covered in blood holding a picture of a bride. This is also out of focus. Then we switch to an over the shoulder shot, of Fabian's wife running away with the dogs. Back to Fabian we then reveal his face. A close up of his eyes and mouth covered in blood. The last shot is a long shot of Fabian eating the body in the woods. The screen then switches to the Title... FABIAN
