Why? Understanding of the language and culture of the country as a key to active participation in society

Structure Language course „Orientation course ca. 600 lessons leads to B1 level topics: shopping, accommodation, health, leisure and social interaction ca. 45 lessons politics, history, society Promoting integration to further participation in society and equal opportunities.

Course forms Up to 945 lessons for learners who cannot read and write Intensive courses: 430 lessons for learners with some knowledge of the language Part-time courses for parents and people in work Special courses e.g. for young people or women Advanced courses as needed

Participants, Institutions and Costs Participants The law on residence, §§ 44 and 44a defines: who may take an integration course? who must take a course? Institutions private and public bodies provide the courses on behalf of the BAMF(Federal Office for Migration and Refugees) Costs Learners are normallly required to pay € 1 per lesson All other costs are normally covered by the BAMF
