What is culture? Values- What do you value in your family? Beliefs- Which beliefs are most important? Attitudes- Do you have the same attitude at home and at school? Languages- Can you speak more than one laguage Symbols- Do you use symbols for instant messaging? Rituals or customs- Do you have any traditions (holidays?) Behaviors- How do you react to success? Failure?

Culture is….. Learned: Children imitate their parents Shared: Beliefs and common practice Social: Appropriate behavior as decided by older generations Dynamic or Changing: in order to meet the needs of the group to adapt
