SPACE MISSION

Use a graphic organizer to summarize the point as presented in the biography on page 199.

SPACE MISSION Mae Jemison is a woman who has achieved much in a number of areas of study and interest. She has been educated in very fine universities and hold degrees in chemical engineering and medicine. Not only has she focussed on science but other areas as well. She has spent time studying Afro-American culture and can speak a number of languages. Along with this, she is a gifted choreographer and has worked with jazz and African music. Finally, she has a liking for television- at least television about space. She is the only real astronaut to appear on Star Trek. Mae leads a life full of diversity and accomplishments.
