Mrs. McIver 2nd Grade class explores Technology September 28th, 2015

What do YOU think technology is? Devices that are electric or electronic. Programming. Science, colors/pixels/movement on tv and screens. Editing. Some examples of Technology: Energy. Mobile things. Computer/iPod/iPad, printers, speakers, watches, watch phones, FitBits, batteries, cameras, videos.

How do we use Technology? Calling, texting. using energy- turning things on and off. Changing settings on our electronics. Music. Cars/vehicles. Xbox/wii/PSP. Movies. Who else uses Technology? Teachers Famous people Engines Boats/vehicles Family Cameramen/tv/radio construction workers factory workers

How has Technology changed? What changes do you see for Technology in the future? Computers got smaller, we don't stand inside. Some things are smaller others are even bigger- like cars, trucks. Phones-not wooden, not all have cords, buttons instead of circles. Televisions- bigger, smaller, have color. Telling time- sundials, clocks and watches. Transportation. CDs. Factories. Translating phones, security-high tech sensors, hovercrafts, cups, underwater houses/buildings, electronics powered with alternative fuels (like lava), search and rescue abilities (under water or in fires, so people don't have to go), cars/transportation- flying, drive on own. The first computers were the size of a WHOLE ROOM! Now we can wear a computer on our wrist!
