Math Skills to be covered Orally counting to 75 Count by 5 and 10 to 100 Composing/decomposing numbers up to 10 Addition/Subtraction (story problems/standard algorithm) – manipulatives – number bonds – drawings – pencil/paper Missing addends

What is composing and decomposing numbers? Composing Numbers – Taking two parts and putting them together to make a whole. Decomposing – Having a whole and breaking it into two parts. part whole

Reversals When you turn your numbers backwards. We are not counting off for reversals, however, you do want to make sure that you point it out to your child and encourage them to correct it.

Transpose When you flip the numbers out of order. We are counting off for transposing numbers, because it creates a completely new number.
