Evaluation IDPH contracts with the Iowa Department of Human Rights, Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning (CJJP) for PFS evaluation services

Evaluation Roles CJJP Provides: TA to counties Monitor progress State evaluation Data collection and cleaning SAMHSA meetings and trainings Lead cross-site evaluation requirements Attend SEW and Advisory Council Meetings

CLI-R (Community Level Instrument-Revised) Federal requirement, completed twice/year Data reporting period April 1, 2015 – September 30, 2015 Submitted by counties in the PEP-C MRT system

CLI-R timeline Deadline was extended by SAMHSA due to system issues – Nov. 15, MRT system reopens for data entry – Dec. 4, counties’ deadline for entering responses – Dec. 15, federal deadline Revision requests (within a couple weeks of completion), please respond ASAP!

CLI-R (Community Level Instrument-Revised) CLI-R is lengthy in its entirety – You are only responsible for providing answers to some questions – mostly “annual measures” – Baseline measures have already completed – No intervention strategy sub-forms until implementation CLI-R guidance document was provided to all counties via – Additional instructions – Tells you how to answer some, but not all, of the questions

Community Check Box Evaluation System Formerly ODSS – “Online Documentation and Support System” Maintained by Univ. of Kansas (not federal) Reporting tool that helps practitioners document their work and communities to better understand and improve their efforts for change. Measures for each strategy – TBD by counties, IDPH, and Lead Evaluator

Next Steps Be ready to start entering CLI-R data in the MRT Nov. 15. Must be completed by Dec. 4!
