Presentation transcript:

Overview Extraction tests: TT40 and TT60, week 21 –controls and data, interlocking, extraction, MKE6 transfer function and energy tracking, high intensity, injection sequencing TL tests: TI2 and TI8 to downstream TEDs, weeks 23, 26 –instrumentation, controls and data, energy matching, trajectory, DFS, optics, aperture, multibunch Injection tests: TI2 and TI8, injection regions to LHC collimators, weeks 36, 37 –instrumentation, controls and data, trajectory, DFS, optics, aperture, dispersion matching, coupling, kicker waveform

TT40 to upstream TED – week 21

TT60 to upstream TED – week 21

TI8 to downstream TED – week 23 (w/e)

TI2 to downstream TED – week 26 (w/e)

TI8 to LHC IR7 – week 36 (w/e 29/30 th aug?)

TI2 to LHC IR3 – week 37 (w/e 5/6 th sep?)

General issues TT40/60 –TT40 interference with CNGS in W21 – move TT40 date or block 4-8 hours from CNGS programme? –“high intensity” beams and full LHC cycle ready in SPS for SPS W21? –Special conditions for high intensity to upstream TEDs – e.g. limit on total p+? –All conditions available for testing filling patterns and injection sequencing? TLs –Follow-up with LHC experiments, LHC access, LHC shutdown, etc. for TL tests… with OP - confirmed as Rossano? –Multibunch requirements for BI – 12 pilots OK? Experiments? –High(er) intensity beam to downstream TEDs? Injection tests –Scope of injection tests – plan for beam 2 to IR6 with LBDS? –Second injection test presently scheduled w/e of W37 but Jeûne Genevois (again). Can we aim at for TI8 29/30 th aug, TI2 5/6 th sep?
