Liquids, Gases and Solids By Darwin and Deniz

This is a picture of the four stages of matter and what the conversion processes are called.

Gases Gas is one of the four stages of matter. The four stages are: Gasses, Liquids, Solids and Plasma. Gasses are not dense molecules. The denser the molecules are, the harder and heavier the substance is. Gases also have no definite volume. They also always fill the space they’re in. In Gas the particles are widely spread and have no bonds.

Liquids Liquids are one of the four stages of matter. Liquids are more dense than gas but less dense than Solids. Liquids have a definite volume. They have no definite shape though. Liquids cannot be squashed. Liquids match the container they are put in. Liquid particles are connected but are weakly bonded.

Solids Solids are one of the four stages of matter. Solids are the most dense out of the four stages. Solids always have a definite volume. Solids also have a definite shape. Solids have a high density and are not easily squashed. Solids particles have extremely strong bonds.

Sub subject: Plasma Plasma is one of the four stages of matter although most people leave it out because it is uncontrollable. Plasma is made when gas is heated up to extreme temperatures. When this happens the neutrons split from their parenting atoms, which makes plasma. This process is called ionization. Plasma is similar to gas. Plasma is the most common stage of matter in the universe. Plasma makes up 55% of your blood.
