What Do You Do When The Teacher Talks By: Ashley Thompson

 When I am in school, I know that the teacher is in charge.  The teacher makes all the rules for the classroom.

 The teacher makes sure that all the children obey the classroom rules.

That is why when the teacher talks, I always stop what I am doing and Listen!!

When the teacher says something all the other children listen IMMEDIATELY

I know because I watch the other children and I see them always listen when the teacher talks

Whenever the teacher says to do something I do exactly what the other children do.

I don’t wait for the teacher to repeat herself. I do what she asks correctly the first time!

If a teacher has to tell me something twice, I know I’ll make her mad.

I am good in school. I follow the teacher’s directions just as I see the other kids do.

My teacher tells me she is proud of me. She tells me I am a good student!

That makes my parents happy. They tell me they are proud of me. They say that I should always listen to my teacher the way I listen to them.

Listening When You Listen  You get to do extra activities  You are rewarded  You are respected  Your parents are proud of you When You Don’t Listen  You miss recess  You get in trouble with the teacher  You get in trouble at home  You get behind
