Economy and Tourism…How?  Infrastructures  Employment  Social and Cultural Impact  Environmental Impact

Infrastructure  Physical component of a destination  Hotel  Restaurant  Roadways  Transportation  People’s desire to travel and explore stimulates the development of these infrastructures

Employment  When infrastructures are built, people must work to sustain them.  All communities need waitresses, hotel managers, chefs, travel agents, arena directors etc.

Social and Cultural Impact  Traveling to new places means bringing one’s own personal beliefs (dress, eat, etc.).  Tourist want to experience authentic culture when they travel.  When people buy souvenirs this also helps to revive the culture.

Environmental Impact  Water Resources  Land and Air Resources  Waste Disposal  Noise Pollution  Visual Pollution  “Eco-Friendly”- Tourism
