Dan Brown

Dan Brown is American writer, journalist and musician. From his pen came such famous works as "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons", telling about the secret societies, symbolism, conspiracies. His novel "Digital Fortress" reveals the secrets of cryptography and U.S. National Security Agency.

Dan Brown was born June 22, 1964 in New Hampshire (USA) in the family of a professor of mathematics and musician Richard Brown Constance Brown. Brown graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, where his father taught mathematics, and wrote textbooks and manuals, until his retirement in Brown's mother and father were musicians, his mother also served as organist at the church. Family belonged to the Episcopal Church USA. After graduation, Brown entered Amherst College, where he was an active member of the fraternity Psi Upsilon. Brown graduated in 1986 and spent the last year training in Spain in Seville University, studying art history.

After graduating college, Dan Brown made ​​ a bid for a musical career as a songwriter, musician and performer. Brown released several CDs with the records. In 1991 he moved to Hollywood, where he earned his living teaching in elementary school Beverly Hills. In 1993, Dan Brown with his family returned to New Hampshire and began teaching English at Phillips Academy in Exeter, as well as Spanish in Lincoln Akerman School.

In 2003, the adventures of Professor Robert Langdon of "Angels & Demons" continued the novel "The Da Vinci Code."

During the first week sales of the novel " The Da Vinci Code " won first place in the list of the New York best- selling version of the newspaper «The New York Times», and is located on the top of the bestseller «The Wall Street Journal», «San Francisco Chronicle». Later became a hit number # 1 rankings in all the major bestseller in the country. In May 2006 came adaptation of the novel " The Da Vinci Code ", and in adaptation of the novel "Angels and Demons." In September 2009, published the novel " The Lost Symbol » («The Lost Symbol»), lifts the veil of secrecy over the past Masonic America and became the third novel of Robert Langdon. In May 2013 came the fourth part of this series - " Inferno." The writer also engaged in journalism, regularly published in magazines «Newsweek», «Time», «Forbes», «People», «GQ», «The New Yorker», serves a variety of popular radio and television programs.
