3 Symptoms of Psoriasis n Bright red areas of raised patches (plaques) often covered with loose, silvery scales –commonly occur on scalp, elbows, hands, knees, feet, lower back –plaque type psoriasis n Tiny areas of bleeding when skin scales are picked or scraped off

4 Symptoms of Psoriasis (cont.) n Mild scaling to thick, crusted plaques on the scalp n Itching n Nail disorders n Symmetrical plaques n Flare-ups of many raindrop-shaped patches (guttate psoriasis)
