Grades!  Homework, Classwork, participation is worth 25%  Tests/Quizzes 75%

Quizzes and Tests  For quizzes/tests: - These will also always be announced ahead of time and will always occur at the end of each unit of study - Review documents /study guides will always be given prior to the test so that you can study - Students will have an opportunity to correct mistakes and retake a test - Can only earn back at most 75% though, so there is a reason to study for the 1 st time around!

Absent/Late Homework  Absent HW: Students will have as many school days as absences to make up HW for full credit  Otherwise the HW will be considered late  Late HW: Assignment(s) considered late will be awarded partial (half) credit if turned in late

Tutoring  If your child needs extra help with math, I will be available for tutoring from after school until 3:15 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Supplies  Several sharpened pencils with erasers  2-3 pens for correcting  1-2 highlighters for note taking  Lined notebook paper  Graph paper  Colored pencils  Ruler  3-ring binder or a section in larger binder

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2015 Our school will earn $6 for EVERY ONLINE registration. When registering, please select "Orchard Hills"!  Or scan the QR code to register now! Sign-up TONIGHT in room and receive a free yogurt from Yogurtland! 6:45-7:30pm

Please help me foster growth in our young mathematicians by:  1. Do not just give the answers  2. Asking them to make estimations  3. Asking them to help you calculate something  4. Asking them: What do you notice? What do you think? How do you know?  5. Not saying, “I was never good at math.”

Feel free to me anytime!
