Presentation transcript:

The next 45 minutes is going to change your life forever…

You are all “one of a kind.”

“Uniqueness”

We NEED uniqueness… Artists, lawyers, carpenters, doctors, circus clowns…

“Uncertainty.” Let’s define it…

Uncertainty is the spice of life. Uncertainty is what makes life interesting…

Uncertainty is not “fear”. Fear is a totally different category of emotion… more about fear later.

Would you LOVE your new Ferrari?

Would you keep your Ferrari safe?

We should always keep valuable things safe!

YOU are our Ferrari’s!

But YOU are so much more valuable than any car that was ever built! YOU are a human being!

Your school loves you, holds you safe, and values you so very, very much!

This next piece is for the adults in the room that feel comfortable displaying affection publicly. This isn’t for some individuals, though we all know you do care!!!

Adults in the room, if you are comfortable doing so, will you please stand up for this display ? I have a question for you.

Will you raise your hands up high, if you, with all your heart, truly love these young people?

Are these young people valuable?

Do you agree to hold and keep them safe ?

Yo, if we discipline you, it’s because we have to maintain a teachable environment…

But, we still love you!

There’s a whole lotta love in this room… can you feel it?

Now, on to the big picture…

“What” you are… Let’s define this…

Because what you are is not who you are!

So, WHO are you?

Who you are, are the “values” you commit to owning within your heart.

“Big whoopie”… So what, and why should I care?

How you gonna get somewhere if you don’t know where you’re going?

You need a roadmap…

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a framework to help you understand your life, and WHO you are?

Now, let’s talk about FEAR, and how it affects your life.

FEAR is an incredible thing…

FEAR causes ANGER!!!

Wouldn’t it be great to fear nothing?

The only way for that to happen is to adopt values…

This positive framework of values will remove fear. If you remove fear, life is fantastic…

So, here’s the solution for you…

These values give you reference points to love and live your life by!

This solution has a positive framework of values to think within…

Wouldn’t it be great if you always knew how you would react… to have your actions consistent and dependable?

The world is made of cloth – woven together…

YOU ARE INVITED TO BE PART OF THIS CLOTH!

But you have to make the CHOICE to become part of this cloth…

TAKE A DEEP BREATH NOW… Here comes the positive FRAMEWORK OF VALUES!

Can you see the importance of having a shared framework of positive values?

Different campus groups… This is the same outside of school as well.

You have to make the CHOICE to live within the cloth of society, or on the outside of the cloth.

Now, you get the BIG picture? picture?

Now, a slight change of subject…

If someone were challenging your little sister, you’d step up to help, …right?

Your school loves you and keeps you safe…

But, now we need your help!!!

Standardized tests are a drag, and we all know it… but the law requires them. We have no choice.

These tests are OUR report card to the government!

Your school is being challenged this time. Time to step up for your school, just like you would for your little sister…

Please, don’t bubble in answers without thinking the questions through…

Take your best guess if you need to, but only as a last resort…

Promise to get enough rest and to eat well during this time… your school NEEDS you to be sharp!

We love you and hold you safe. Please, love and hold US safe, too!

We’ve made our promises to you. Now, will you PLEASE make your promise to us?

And always remember…

YOU are OUR Ferrari’s…
