POMS 7 th Grade B House POMS Policies Cell Phone Policy – Cell phones must remain in the locker during the school day. If a student brings a cell phone to class or is using it inside the building, it will be collected and given to the school secretary. Only parents may pick up the cell phone from the school secretary in the front office. Detention Policy – Students who receive a cluster detention have one week to attend either a morning or afternoon detention on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Students must arrive on time and have their detention slip signed by a parent or they will not be allowed to serve detention.

POMS 7 th Grade B House Ensuring Student Success In the event a student is struggling academically, we have several intervention measures in place to help the student get back on track. Late Work Policy The Stables Weekly Grade Updates

POMS 7 th Grade B House Late Policy If an assignment is not turned in on time, the student will be assigned to “The Stables” for the following school day to complete the assignment during lunch for a 20% penalty. After attending Stables, if the assignment is still incomplete, the student may attend the Stables daily, for up to one week, to complete the assignment for a late grade. After one week, credit will no longer be given for the assignment.

POMS 7 th Grade B House The Stables Pin Oak offers intervention for students who do not complete assignments on time. Students will be assigned to eat lunch and complete their work in “The Stables.” A teacher will be available to answer content questions and assist in ensuring student comprehension. Students will report at the beginning of their lunch period and stay for the duration of the period. They should bring a lunch from home, or a sack lunch will be provided [for a fee when students are not part of the free lunch program]. Students may only be assigned to the Stables six times within a six weeks.
