Very Hungry Caterpillar Vocabulary Storyboard

Basics Subject – English and Science Grade: Second Topic – Caterpillars and Vocabulary

Original Outline Read book as a class Draw 1 thing they learned Kids read book on their own Then filled out a scaffold outline Had students discuss what the story was about

Read ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ as a class Students write down words they may not have understood and then search them and use an online flashcard site to better understand them Using online story program, have students create a scene of what they learned Have the students create an outline of what events happened in the story Have students blog about any questions or problems that might have had with understanding the story Students write responses and reply to each other. Updated Outline

UDL Guidelines Met: 1.We provide options for perception, options for language mathematical expressions and symbols, and options for comprehension 2.We provide options for physical action and options for expression and communication. 3.We provide options for recruiting interest and options for sustaining effort and persistence
