The Best Way for High School Students to Master English Words Iiyamakita High School Kobayashi Hanna Saito Anna 1. Abstract PURPOSE We research the best way for Japanese high school students to master English words. We focus it because we think it is important to increase our vocabulary for being able to speak English. MOTIVE The bitter experience that we could not talk with our ALT at junior high school made us want to speak English. 3. Experiment 《 Hypothesis 》 We supposed that making the most of our five senses is the most effective way to master English words. 《 Method 》 We divided the 25 subjects into groups of 5, and chose the following ways ( ⅰ - ⅴ ) as research objects. Conditions for making questions are as follows. The subjects studied each pattern in 5 minutes and then answered the questions in 3 minutes. Table 2 shows the combination of each group and each pattern. Table 2 The combination of each group and each pattern Note. ) ⅰ ‐ ⅴ: Ways A-E : Patterns 《 Result 》 Table 3 Average score Note 1 )ⅰ: Looking ⅱ: Looking + Writing ⅲ: Looking + Listening ⅳ: Looking + Oral reading ⅴ: Looking + Oral reading + Writing Note 2 ) Red value is the highest score of each group 2.
