Monetary and Economic Policy Department Economic Policy: Prepares DNB’s views on non-monetary issues. Prime examples are public finances, aging of the population, health sector etc. European Integration: Focus lies on the Dutch input on issues of European integration. Examples: EMU enlargement, institutional issues such as the European convent, co-ordination of policies. Financial Stability: Tackles financial stability from a macroeconomic perspective, such as structural risks in the housing market, changes in the financial constraints of firms of country risks. Strong involvement in IMF matters. Monetary policy: Covers all aspects of monetary policy making, such as inflation developments, monetary strategy, state of the economy, electronic money.
