Agenda DO NOW – On board Discuss DO NOW Discussion – Power Point about Reconstruction

American History Thursday, September 17, 2015 Objective SWBT will apply note-taking skills about important people and events of the Reconstruction era based on a Powerpoint presentation. DO NOW Most of you have done a good job of paying attention in class, took good notes, and completed your asssignments. However, suppose a student has not taken good notes or completed assignments to date in this class and an important test is coming up soon that will count as part of the 60 percent of your grade. State how that student might be able to still do well on that test. List as many ways as you can think of.

Writing Prompt Based on what you now know about the Civil War and Reconstruction, write a paragraph of 3 to 5 sentences explaining what is wrong with the following statement: The Civil War ended when the South realized it had made a mistake and apologized to the North. At the point, the North forgave the Southern states and allowed them to re-enter the Union without any disagreement.
