Presentation transcript:

Who are you and what is the reason for your presence at the seminar? -Capacity Building for Disability Cooperation (CABDICO) was LNGO, registered at the MoI of Cambodia in CABDICO is the result of the ‘localization’ of Handicap International’s project in Cambodia ( ). -The mission of CABDICO is to ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their family members to enjoy their basic human rights to quality of life and barrier-free social development. -CABDICO is willing to share its main achieving objectives and likely impacts in economic, environmental and social field. Impact Assessment Seminar Phnom Penh, 2-6 December 2013

Have you ever conducted in the context of your activity, studies or impact assessment and evaluation? -Conducted the evaluation of CABDICO Disability program, Cambodia (October 2012). -Reviewed the CABDICO’s thee-year program achievement ( ). -Developed database for measurement of the programs achievements. -Study on the needs and issues of beneficiaries and identifying the possible solutions with stakeholders. This study contributed in reviewing of strategic plan of CABDICO. Impact Assessment Seminar Phnom Penh, 2-6 December 2013

What are, according to you, HI’s challenges in terms of impact assessment and evaluation? -CABDICO worked with people with disabilities who had focus on severe impairment and living in remote areas and very poor, so impact assessment is hardly noticed. -Included disability into development program and other development actors. E.g. Commune Investment Program/Plan (CIP) is taken more time as level of understanding disability issues and needs among local authorities and services provided are limited. -From 2006 to 2012, CABCIDO’s project focused on more the services provision (disability awareness raising, health related- rehabilitation, inclusive education, livelihood and empowerment), so impact assessment is affected in to individual/household. Impact Assessment Seminar Phnom Penh, 2-6 December 2013

What questions would you like this seminar to answer? -What are main achieving objectives and likely impacts in economic, environmental and social field? -What are approaches that led the achieving objective and likely impacts in economic, environmental and social field? -What areas of impact assessment should be focused on? -How long of project should be conducted impact assessment? -Impact assessment need the external or internal consultant? Impact Assessment Seminar Phnom Penh, 2-6 December 2013
