Presentation transcript:

is a computer whose physical dimensions are microscopic and the field of nanocomputing is part of the emerging field of nanotechnology and several typesnanotechnology of nanocomputers have been suggested or proposed by researchers and futurists.

1.ELECTRONIC NANOCOMPUTERS  The power, flexibility, and ease of manufacture of microelectronic two-state device have been the heart of computer and information technology. A solid-state devices and they have lent themselves to the miniaturization of electronic devices, especially computers.

2. CHEMICAL & BIO-CHEMICAL COMPUTERS  is one that processes information by making and breaking chemical bonds, and it stores logic states or information in the resulting chemical structures. It would perform such operations selectively among molecules taken just a few at a time.

3. QUANTUM NANOCOMPUTERS 3.1) A. Quantum-Computer -is a machine, as-yet hypothetical, that performs calculations based on the behavior of particles at the sub-atomic level. It is capable of executing far more millions of instructions per second (MIPS) than any previous computer.

B. Qubits -Engineers have coined the term qubit to denote the fundamental data unit in a quantum computer. A qubit is essentially a bit that can take on several, or many, values simultaneously.

C. Teleportation -involves dematerializing an object at one point, and sending the details of that object's precise atomic configuration to another location, where it will be reconstructed.ime and space could be eliminated from travel without crossing a physical distance.

D. Quantum mechanics -uses subatomic particles, such as electrons and protons, to solve problems. Electrons can be in many different places and many different states all at the same instance in time. The possibility that an electron can be anywhere or be in different states is supposed to make quantum computers extremely fast.

1.Nanotechnology is helping to considerably improve, even revolutionize, many technology and industry sectors: information technology, energy, environmental science, medicine, homeland security, food safety, and transportation, among many others. Described below is a sampling of the rapidly growing list of benefits and applications of nanotechnology.

2.Nanotechnology is already in use in many computing, communications, and other electronics applications to provide faster, smaller, and more portable systems that can manage and store larger and larger amounts of information
