Reviewing a Biography

 The qualities of a good biography include:  -interesting and important details about a real person  -introductory paragraph and concluding paragraph  -organized into body paragraphs, each with a main-idea sentence  -following a chronological order of events.

 Read the biography on p.51. Revise the biography independently, add or take out items in order to make it a stronger biography. Find and correct any grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors in the draft. Write it on a separate sheet of paper.  Remember to proofread your revision and check for errors.

 This biography jumps from 1978 to 1984, then back to It isn’t until the last paragraph that we find out when Gloria was born. This biography presents the events out of order.
