INTRODUCTION Mock Test 2 follows the CLAT pattern wherein the students are subjected to the same level of difficulty both in terms of question type and level. The mock test comprises of five sections with a total of 200 questions. A student is expected to attempt this test in an actual test like environment wherein he has 120 minutes to complete the test and thus need to schedule his/her time accordingly. ENGLISH This section was of moderate level of difficulty. It consisted of:  1 RC Passage ( 10 questions)  5 questions on Vocabulary - Synonyms  5 questions on Word spelling  5 questions on Grammar – Prepositions (Fill in the blanks)  5 questions on Grammar – Identify incorrect sentences  2 Cloze Tests (5 blanks each)  The various questions are now described in detail:

At least 8 out of the given 10 questions should have been attempted. 11 to 15 Vocabulary - Synonyms Moderate - Difficult At least three out of the five questions should have been attempted. 16 to 20 Vocabulary - Spelling Easy - Moderate Commonly used words were given. Four out of five questions could have easily been attempted. Since an option has the same word written in four different ways, one might get confused if one looks at all the options first. The best way to attempt this question is to recall the spelling of the word first, and then look at the other options.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE This section of MOCK TEST – 2 is comprised of 50 questions. Out of which 35 questions were from static GK and 15 questions from current affairs. Current affairs questions were from various fields and there were substantial questions on national and international personalities. On the other hand, static GK was oriented towards economy followed by geography and general science. Overall difficulty level was moderate. Further, the final break-up summary can be analyzed with the help of following table:

All the questions should have been attempted. 126 to 130 Statement - Argument Moderate - Difficult One should have attempted the questions by thoroughly analyzing the arguments. Q 129 was a little difficult and could have been left unattempted. 131 to 135Assertion - ReasonModerate Questions 131, 134 and 135 were based on facts that everyone is expected to know and hence these should have been attempted. 136 to 140 Critical Reasoning Moderate - Difficult The level of the questions was moderate to difficult, calling for a careful reading of the paragraphs. 141 to 145 Statement – Course of Action Moderate - Difficult Thorough analysis of the course of actions was required. Three out of five questions should have been attempted.

LEGAL APTITUDE This section had 50 questions on Legal Aptitude comprising of both Legal Reasoning as well as Legal Knowledge. The section consisted of: Legal Reasoning (35 questions) Legal Knowledge (15 questions) Overall, the section was of Moderate to Difficult difficulty level. The Legal Reasoning section tested the ability of students to understand and interpret questions with multiple principles and explanations and the combined application of the same to factual matrix to reach the best answer. And, in order to answer the questions based on Legal Knowledge, students were expected to have knowledge of various concepts under Constitutional Law, Criminal law, Contracts, Intellectual Property Law, Family Law and also general principles from different aspects of law. An attempt between the range of would be considered a good attempt for this section.

DETAILS  Legal Reasoning: The Legal Reasoning of Mock 2 was having a difficulty level of significant amount. This section was dominated by questions from Torts law and consisted majorly of cluster questions. Apart from that there were questions from Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Intellectual Property. An approach of very careful reading of the principles was required.  Legal Knowledge: The Legal Knowledge part of mock 2 was a mixed bag and contained questions from Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law, Torts, Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Law and other General Principles of law.

QUESTION ANALYSIS Questions 153 to 155: It was a cluster question dealing with the topic of Public and Private Nuisance under Torts. In question 153, the act of digging the trench by A amounts to Nuisance and would be classified as Public Nuisance because the interference is caused for the public in general. Although the digging of the trench has caused inconvenience to B, but as the act would classify as public nuisance, hence, the suit cannot terminate in the favour of B. But, the suit instituted by C would succeed because he suffered special damage and as per Principle 3, he has the right of civil action.

QUESTION ANALYSIS Questions 162 to 165: It was a cluster question on contracts dealing with the Topic of communication of proposal and acceptance. The difficulty level of this question would be considered high. It dealt with 5 principles. The questions were not very twisted but a single thorough reading would not have sufficed. It would not be a wrong decision to leave the question unattempted. Questions 176 to 180: It was a cluster question from Constitution dealing with the Fundamental Right of Expression. The question was a must-attempt one. Even though it had 5 Principles, but the principles were not difficult to understand and there were 5 questions asked on these principles.

QUESTION ANALYSIS Question 193 and 194: The correct answer options are (a) and (b) respectively. Lets understand the difference between the concepts of Theft, Criminal Breach of Trust and Dishonest Misappropriation of Property: In Theft, the offender takes the movable property out of the possession of the owner unlawfully. In Criminal Breach of trust movable/immovable property is already in possession of offender lawfully entrusted by the owner. In Criminal Misappropriation, movable/immovable property comes in possession of offender by any means lawfully. Dishonest intention is a common element in all three.
