(Proverbs 5:21) For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all his paths. (Hebrews 4:13) Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 13:4) Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD FOR PURITY

1.Confess sin and enjoy God’s forgiveness (1 John 1:9; Psalm 32:1-5) 2.Accept the consequences of past sin as God’s loving discipline (Proverbs 3:11-12). 3.Recognize and rely on God’s power over my sin. I don’t have to sin (Romans 6:6-13). Christ defeated sin’s power (Romans 8:9-13). I can consciously rely on the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-22). PURSUING SPIRITUAL VICTORY

I don’t have to sin ((Romans 6:6) For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin-- Christ defeated sin’s power (Romans 8:10) But if (since) Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness… {12} Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. I must consciously rely on the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-22) So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. …{19} The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery…. {22} But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…and self-control. GOD’S POWER FOR OUR PURITY
