KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION Wannetta Bennett Turtle Mountain Community College

BEGINNING Read the Proposal Thoroughly!!!!! Find answers to any questions that arise. Understand regulations governing the project.

BEGINNING Know the goals, objectives, and tasks of the project. Create timeline (if needed) Create work plan for the project

MORE PLANNING Determine what data needs to be collected. Data should be relevant to project outcomes. Where is the data stored?

MORE PLANNING How is the data to be analyzed? To whom will the data be presented? Formative and Summative data

MORE PLANNING Selection of Staff Review the job description in the proposal. Make adjustments if needed prior to advertising position.

IMPLEMENTATION Staff Orientation. Does the staff fully understand the project and the anticipated outcomes? Strategic plan for project. Staff should be involved in developing the plan. Make others aware of the project and the strategic plan.

FISCAL MANAGEMENT Know what is allowable in your budget. Identify areas where shortages and excesses exist. Spend budget timely. Maintain a cuff account. Reconcile with fiscal office monthly.

DOCUMENTATION Report

DISSEMINATE Data driven results. Impact of the project. Lessons learned. Photos. Presentations. Media.

CONCLUSION Read and understand the proposal. Hire the right staff. Determine data. Document everything Report, Report, Report. Disseminate the information to everyone.

MOST IMPORTANTLY “Have fun and enjoy the project”
