Experiences of Joseph

 Facing unjust circumstances, sometimes we are tempted to cry out, “It ain’t fair!” and quit trying to do what is right.  Despite suffering repeated mistreatment, Joseph is an example of one who maintained a proper attitude.  Joseph experienced persistent wrongs. However, he was also blessed with providential rights.

 Unfair Treatment by Father (Gen. 37:1-4)  Unfair Reaction to Dreams (Gen. 37:5-11)  Unfair Treatment by Brothers (Gen. 37:12-36)  Unfair Treatment by Potiphar (Gen. 39:1-20)  Unfair Treatment by Fellow-Prisoners (Gen. 39:21-40:23)

 Exaltation by Pharaoh (Gen. 41:1-49)  Reconciliation with Brothers (Gen. 45:1-15)  Reconciliation with Father (Gen. 45:24-46:7)

 When faced with mistreatment, let us remember that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.  Nevertheless, for this promise to be realized, we must become conformed to the image of His Son (Rom. 8:28-39).
