Background Torrefaction is one of the solutions for carbon neutral society driven by EU policy Kyamk has already made a prototype torrefaction device for small scale production. Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences in South-East Finland has 4400 students. KyUAS technical faculty specializes in environmentally friendly energy sources and their use. We have participated in several R&D-projects aiming energy efficiency, emission reduction, use of renewable energy (Bioenergy, wind energy).
