Objectives Content Objectives  Students will review probability rules through review of Thursday’s work.  Students will learn about the fundamental counting principle. Language Objectives  Students will not call out unless called on.  Students will participate in discussion.  Students will demonstrate their understanding in writing.

Review of Thursday’s work  What is sample space?  What is an outcome?  What is the difference between theoretical probability and experimental probability?

More review of Thursday’s work  Which of the following are independent events: rolling a die and flipping coin drawing a card from a deck of cards, and drawing another card from the same deck rolling a die, and then rolling it again drawing a piece of candy from a jar, and then drawing another piece of candy

A bag contains 4 red marbles, 16 yellow marbles, 5 purple marbles, 16 blue marbles, and 10 green marbles. What is the probability of pulling out a red or a green marble?
