Water Safety By: Jusias Kalis and Juan Mata

Why is Water Safety important? Because you could drown and no one will know and will possibly die and is fast and silent so no one will hear you. You could get stuck to the drain if go to low under-water and will die if there is no- one under water to see you and get help from someone like the life-guard.

Important Safety Measures An important safety measure is NOT to run around the pool cause you could fall in the pool and break your arm and drown and could possibly die. Another important safety measure is if you don’t know how to swim or is a young age wear floaties/lifejackets cause you could sink and die. Another safety measure have somebody like an adult around to watch you while you swim cause if you drown/ get stuck in drain no-one will be there to help you and you will most-likely die!!!!!!

How to treat common injury's for Water Safety There is no way to treat the injury of getting stuck in a drain but there is other things that can happen that can be treated A way to treat drowning is if a lifeguard or parent/adult around to give CPR or to get all the water out of your/someone else body A way to treat sunburn is to put a lot of sun screen on or some people say if you take a bath in tomato sauce it will heal your sunburn for about 1:30/2:00 Hrs. for it to go away.

Interesting things about water safety Over 800 kids drowned from in public swimming pools. Only 38 pools in the entire US have currently the new safe drain. Little kids are the most kids who get stuck in the drain even tho they don’t usually go under water the drain for them is closer to them in the shallow cause the land comes up and so does the drain so the little kids get stuck more often.

How can I help others be safe in the water You can pull them off the drain if you see a kid stuck on a drain or tell a life-guard. Tell an adult/lifeguard if you see a kid drowning.
