Using the Almanac ALMANAC

What is an almanac? A collection of facts and statistics that is published yearly. Covers many different subjects An excellent research tool.

Examples of Valuable information Information about the Solar System and planets Facts about the weather Facts about countries India

Other examples: Facts about awards Facts about the presidents.

Will you find information about Saturn? Yes! More information to add for a report to what you’ve collected from magazines, books and encyclopedias

Answers to Questions such as: Who was the first person to reach the south pole? When is United Nations Day? In what city is the Cotton Bowl located? What are the principal gases in the earth’s atmosphere?

An Almanac is not organized in alphabetical order so…. You use the index to look for the keyword of the information you’re looking for Example: Where were the Winter Olympics held in 1976? Keyword= Winter Olympics
