The LACMA Field Trip

Before the Field Trip The students will be informed that inappropriate behavior before the field trip will result in them not participating. Parents/Guardians will be informed too. Field Trip forms will be sent out a week before the trip and must be returned by October 26, Students must also bring by October 20, 2005 their lunch ticket dated October 27, 2005 so that the cafeteria can provide us with the appropriate amount of lunches.

Day of the Trip The students must arrive on time to school. Students that arrive late will be given an alternative assignment for the day. Please have students wear their school uniform or school colors. The students must follow all the rules they given and follow the itinerary.

Day of the Trip Itinerary 8:00 a.m. - Depart to LACMA 9:00 a.m. - Arrive to LACMA 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 – Tour of LACMA 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Lunch 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Gift Shop 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. - Depart LACMA 2:00 p.m. - Arrive to school Field Trip Rules Stay with your partner at all times. Do not touch any of the art pieces in the museum. You must pay attention to out tour guide. When asking a question or giving an answer you must raise your hand. If you need to use the bathroom you must ask your teacher first for permission. Page 3

After the Field Trip The students will be given a writing assignment. The students will write half a page expressing their feelings about the trip and what they enjoyed the most. The assignment will be due Monday, October 30, 2006.

Rubric 4 – Student wrote half a page and no grammatical errors. 3 – Student wrote half a page, but had 1-2 grammatical errors. 2 – Student wrote half a page and had numerous grammatical errors. 1 – Student did not complete half a page.
