BEEF STEW
PERSON 1 Put 1 T oil in a saucepan- turn pan on to medium Gather ½ lb beef ( come up to the front with a plate In a small bowl add 2 T of flour and coat beef After person 2 has added the onions and garlic add the beef and brown on all sides
PERSON 2 Chop ½ onion Peel 1 clove garlic Add garlic and onion to pan In a glass measuring cup add 1 ½ c up water½ T worcestershire sauce 1 bay leave½ tsp salt ½ tsp sugar¼ tsp pepper After beef is browned, add liquid to beef
ALLOW BEEF TO SIMMER UNTIL THE END OF THE CLASS Clean kitchen When there are 5 minutes left in class pour soup into a labeled bowl ( label the bowl NOT the plastic wrap) Put bowl in the refrigerator
DAY 2 PERSON 1 Take beef out of the stew Once chopped potato is in the soup, turn it on the boil and boil for 1 minute After it has boiled for 1 minute, turn it down and let it simmer Add beef back into the stew
DAY 2 PERSON 2 Chop 1 potato Add it to the cold soup Chop 1 rib of celery and 1 carrot Add it to the soup
