The Groundwater Foundation Founded in 1985 Based in Lincoln, Nebraska Mission – To educate and motivate people to care about and for groundwater Goal – Make groundwater science accessible and understandable to people everywhere

The Groundwater Foundation Funding Sources – Membership, Product Sales, Direct Program Support, Grants 10 Full-time and 3 Part-time Staff – Community Programs Team - uses Groundwater Guardian as its organizing and planning tool Youth Programs Team Administrative Staff

Groundwater Guardian A framework for local action to protect groundwater

Groundwater Guardian Over 300 communities have participated in the program since it began in 1994.

Groundwater Guardian Teams Organized to focus on a particular groundwater resource Must include representatives from: Citizen groups/interested citizens Business and/or Agriculture Education Local Government Often include: Public Health Professionals Youth
