The Oppressions and Judges till Samuel The Real Bible Code B.C. 1 First Oppression by Cushan 20 Last Philistine Oppression II, 20 years, followed by Samuel B.C. And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he divided their land to them by lot. 20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet (Acts 13:19-20) Acts 13:20 does not say "about 450 years" due to estimation or imprecision in the figure. The 450 year figure is a direct sum of all the figures starting in the book of Judges, and ending with Samuel's accession. The years of the Judges (i.e. Joshua and the Elders) between the division of the land and the first oppression are left out, and also Samuel's years. The missing figures must be indirectly computed, so Paul left those figures out of his speech.
