2 OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION Author Steps to Prepare Blog Post for Review 1.Save draft of your post in WordPress/ LSO: Save your post frequently as you are writing or entering it into WordPress. Do NOT write your post in Word. Once you have saved a draft of your post in Word Press, you MUST find a reviewer.

Ask an Extension, FCS, Colleague to review your post : -Each post should be reviewed by a colleague with knowledge in the post’s subject matter. -Post must be reviewed after saved as a draft, but before scheduled to publish. -Plan to write your post in advance to give your colleague adequate time for review. 3. your reviewer the title of your blog post AND a copy of the LSO Blog Author Review Form. - Your reviewer should read/ review your post WITHIN Live Smart Ohio’s wordpress: - DO NOT your reviewer the content of your blog post in a word document.

5 OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION How to Review a Blog Post in LSO/ WordPress 1. Once you are logged in you should be able to access the “Dashboard”. To review a post, click on the “posts” tab on the left column.

7 OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION How to Review a Blog Post in LSO/ WordPress 2. Search for the title given to you by the post’s author by scrolling through the list of drafted posts. The post being reviewed should be near the top of the list.

Click on the title of the post you have been asked to review: In the example below, the reviewer has been asked to review a post titled: “Do Brain Breaks Work?” After scrolling and finding the title, the reviewer will click on this title in the list. After clicking on the title, the body of the post should appear in an “Edit Post” box on the computer screen.

Preview the post: Click the preview button on the top right corner of the Edit Post screen in order to view the post as an LSO blog subscriber would view it.
